First Draft YouTube trailer – Redaction
November 4, 2009
I have now put together my YouTube trailer and it has been uploaded to YouTube. What I have tried to achieve with this video is to try and tease people about what it is I want to find out during my research project.
By using videos clips of existing content found on YouTube, I am using one of the categories I will be researching; Redaction. Using this way of producing my video, I am making people aware of exactly what it is I will be researching in by giving examples of videos already found on YouTube which fit into a particular category and this gives me the basis for my next trailer to try and produce a video that could fit into a different category, not Redaction.
My YouTube video is a very rough, basic edit on Windows Movie Maker and for my next trailer I will be using Adobe Premier so that I am able to produce a more advanced video trailer.
As for the content, it is exactly what I hoped for and I like the way in which I have connected my own content with my research project by categorizing this video into redacted material.
